Ring sizes for men
Most men wear between US 8 and US 11, with US 9–10 the average — 19.0 to 19.8 mm inside diameter. Men's bands are usually wider than women's rings, which affects fit: start from your measured size, then adjust for band width.

EU sizes follow ISO 8653, where the size number is the ring's inner circumference in millimetres. UK letter sizes are the widely used jeweller approximations and may differ slightly from one jeweller to another. Half sizes between whole sizes are interpolated.
What differs for men's rings
Band width. Men's wedding bands commonly run 5–8 mm wide. A wide band grips more of the finger and feels tighter than a narrow ring at the same size, so if your measured size is for a slim ring and the band will be 7 mm or wider, many jewellers suggest going up a quarter to a half size.
Comfort fit. Many men's bands are "comfort fit" — domed on the inside. The dome means the ring's tightest point is at its centre, and comfort-fit rings often wear about a quarter size looser than a flat-inside ring of the same marked size. If you measured with a flat ring, mention the style change to the jeweller.
Knuckles. Men's knuckles are often noticeably wider than the base of the finger. The ring must pass the knuckle with a twist and slight pressure, then sit without spinning freely at the base. If it sails over the knuckle, it will also sail off in cold water.

Frequently asked questions
What is the most common men's ring size?
US 10 is the single most commonly stocked and sold men's size, with the average buyer somewhere in the US 9–10 range.
Is US 11 a large men's ring size?
It is above average but well within the normal range — plenty of men wear 11–12, particularly on the index or middle finger, which typically run one to two sizes above the ring finger.
Which finger should I measure?
The finger the ring will actually be worn on. Even on the same hand, sizes commonly differ by one to two sizes between fingers, and the dominant hand is usually slightly larger.
